2 killed in separate accidents in Sindhuli

SINDHULI: Two persons were killed in separate accidents in Sindhuli district on Wednesday. Krishna Kumar Sarki (23) of Kamalamai Municipality-4 died while tilling a field using a hand tractor at Kusumtar of Bhadrakali VDC– 4, Inspector Govinda Jha of the District Police Office, Sundhuli said. Sarki was tilling the land belonging to one Padam Bahadur Kami with the two-wheel tractor when it jumped off suddenly, police said. Sarki tried to control the tractor by pressing it with his leg but fell beneath the two-wheeler, eyewitnesses told the police. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man died when a tractor he was travelling in met with an accident at Maisthan of Kamalamai Municipality-10 of the district today. The deceased has been identified as Bijaya Pakhrin of Ranichuri-1. The incident occurred when the tractor (Na 4 Ta 9138) heading towards Sindhulimadhi from Bhiman skidded off the road and fell 25 feet below, police said. The four-wheeler was loaded with stones. Police said that the accident occurred due to the brake failure. The tractor driver fled the scene after the incident, said police.
