KATHMANDU: Police on Monday said three people were arrested in possession of two leopard hides from Bungamati of Lalitpur. Acting on a tip-off, a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested Sundar Rai (40) of Inaruwa Municipality in Sunsari, Shamsher Chhimi Tamang (37) of Dakshinkali Municipality in Kathmandu and Nakkal Bahadur Bal (52) of Phakhel in Makawanpur district on Sunday. Police had frisked the trio and found the hides in their possession. Police said they were on their way to trade the hides. The suspects have been sent to the Lalitpur District Forest Office, Hattiban, for further investigation and action.
