Kathmandu:

With an estimated 185,000 bli-nd people in Nepal, the Standard Chartered Ne-pal is organising Walkathon 2005 - A Walk for a Brighter Tomorrow on September 17.

The walkathon is organisation’s initiative to raise funds and increase awareness programmes amongst the public on the subject of blindness and an effort to reduce stigma and encourage the visually challenged people. The majority of fund raised will go towards the bank’s ‘Seeing is Believing’ project.

The walk will begin at 8:30 am from SCBNL branch at Jawalakhel and end at SCBNL head office, Naya Baneshwor. (Lunch will be served)
