ICAN to rein in CAs
KATHMANDU:
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) is all set to rein in chartered accountants by developing disciplinary mechanisms. Narayan Bajaj, president of ICAN today said that since the institute has already implemented a Code of Ethics for chartered accountants last year, it is in the process of developing disciplinary action procedures for the accounting profession. In this regard, ICAI and ICAN have already agreed to work jointly. Bajaj was talking at a programme held by ICAN today. During the same programme, T Karthikeyan, director of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), made a presentation at the same function on how to put disciplinary mechanisms in place.
