The San Miguel Oktoberfest kicked off lavishly at the all time favourite restaurant GT of Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza on September 23. The Oktoberfest, which has now become a popular event all across the globe, originated in Munich in 1810 with King Maximillian of Bavaria giving a huge reception for his son’s wedding. This festival is usually related to loads of fun, frolic, food, drinks and merriment. Later in the year 1880, the Oktoberfest was shifted to the month of September due to bad weather conditions in October.

Beer plays a very vital role in this fest and that is the reason why San Miguel was brought in to celebrate this fest. Other than mouth-watering German cuisines, the fest will have lots of exciting games and contests for the beer fanatics. The dancing-singing along with eating and drinking will continue till October 2. The ambience Soaltee Crowne Plaza is set to just the right type, to give one a feeling of this great Bavarian event. One can experience an abundance of beer, dance, games, music and German delights from Sauerkraut, Rodkol to traditional desserts. The fest has been priced at Rs 700, which includes unlimited San Miguel Beer and a buffet and is open for both lunch and dinner on weekends and dinner on weekdays.
