HETAUDA: The Hetauda – Kulekhani road stretch along the Madan Bhandari Highway has been blocked after a landslide struck the Sukaunda hill at Kulekhani – 8 on Sunday. The transportation service from Hetauda – Kulekhani to Kathmandu remained obstructed from early this morning. The vehicles plying the road stretch have been diverted to the Tribhuvan Highway, informed the Makawanpur District Police Office (DPO). Around 850 vehicles including sumo jeeps and micro buses ply the road to and from Kathmandu to Chandranigapur and Birgunj on a daily basis, added the DPO. If the weather permits we will clear the landslide debris and hopefully transportation will resume in the afternoon, Chief District Officer Man Bahadur Bishwokarma informed.
