Moeen Ali struck twice with his off-spin in the last over before lunch as England reduced Bangladesh to 29 for two at lunch on the second day of the opening test in Chittagong after the tourists had been dismissed for 293 on Friday. England captain Alastair Cook called on Moeen, who top-scored for the side with a 68, to bowl the final over of the first session and it took the bearded 29-year-old just two deliveries to break Bangladesh's opening stand. The home openers had looked fairly untroubled until then but Moeen got the ball to spin past Imrul Kayes' (21) bat to hit the off-stump before number three Mominul Haque edged behind without scoring in a double blow for the hosts. Tamim Iqbal (seven) was unbeaten at the crease for Bangladesh when the sides went off for lunch with Moeen yet to complete his first over. England had earlier resumed on 258-7 and added 35 runs before debutant off-spinner Mehedi Hasan completed a six-wicket haul with the dismissal of Stuart Broad after left-arm spinner Taijul Islam had removed the other two batsmen.
