Over Rs 6 lakh collected in Palpaā€™s Bhairavisthan Temple

PALPA: A sum of more than Rs 600,000 was collected in the famous Bhairavisthan Temple in Palpa district as a monetary offering known as bheti during Dashain and Tihar festivals. According to the Temple Manager Min Bahadur Budhathoki, this is the highest bheti collection in the temple of deity Bhairav so far. More than 50,000 devotees were estimated to have visited this shrine where they offered theĀ sacrifice of some 1,500 animals, including goats, chickens and ducks among others, shared Manager Budhathoki.
