Seven ambulances to be donated to Khotang health facilities

Khotang, November 10 Khotang Service Society UK intends to provide seven ambulances to health facilities in Khotang. The society is planning to donate an ambulance each to two primary health centres and five health posts. Khotang Service Society UK Ambulance Coordination Committee Kathmandu Coordinator Jay Kumar Rai said that the society had purchased three ambulances last fiscal and had plans to buy four more ambulances very soon. “We shall hand over the ambulances in good time,” Rai said. A source at the society said Khotang residents serving in the UK Army and retired army personnel had collected funds to procure the ambulances and a set of ultra-sound machine for District Hospital Diktel. Rai said that his society had bought an ambulance each for Chisapani health centre and Dandagaun and Baksila health posts in the previous year. He added that they were about to buy ambulances for Aiselukharka primary health centre, Buipa, Simpani, and Nirmalidanda health posts soon. The ambulances will definittely benefit the people from all the six village assemblies and the only municipality out of the ten proposed local bodies in the district.
