Ambassadors present letters of credence to President

KATHMANDU: Non-residential ambassadors to Nepal from four nations on Thursday presented their letters of credence to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday. Portuguese Ambassador Joao do Carmo Ataide Da Camara, Kuwaiti Fahad Ahmad MM Alawadhi, Ukrainian Igor Polkha and Mongolian Gonchig Ganbold presented the credentials amid a special function at the Sheetal Niwas today, according to a statement issued by the President Office. Minister for Foreign Affairs Prakash Sharan Mahat, Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri, Secretary at the President's Office Bhupendra Prasad Paudyal, and Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi among others were present on the occasion, according to the statement. The envoys were taken to the Sheetal Niwas on a traditional chariot—baggi--from the local Shangri-La Hotel.
