3 killed as SUV heading to Kathmandu crashes in Dhading at midnight

DHADING: Three persons were killed when a private SUV they were aboard skidded off the road and fell about 100 metres down onto the field, in Dhading district along the Prithvi Highway on Thursday midnight. Two of the deceased have been identified, according to police. They are  jeep driver Madhav Dhital (25) of Chandikasthan-6  in Lamjung district and Bishnu Bahadur Raut (31), a private at Shamsher Dal Brigade in Bardiya district. Third victim is a woman. She appeared to be in her mid-30s but her identity is yet to be established. The vehicle (Ga 2 Cha 4572) heading to Kathmandu from Lamjung skidded off and fell off the highway at Koirale of Bhumisthan VDC-6 at around midnight, according to Baireni-based Police Post. All three were killed on the spot, police added. Meanwhile, police are investigating into the case. The bodies were sent to the Gajuri Primary Health Centre for the postmortem, said police.
