Cabinet decides to invest ADB grant in education

KATHMANDU: The government on Thursday decided to accept Rs 2 billion grant from the Asian Development Bank and invest it in the education sector. A Cabinet meeting held this morning made a decision to this effect, according to the PM's Secretariat. Meanwhile, the government allocated Rs 611.8 million for repairing the dam of the Upper Trishuli A Hydropower Project. Likewise, Rs 4.43 billion has been allocated for drinking water reforms in Pokhara. Meanwhile, the Cabinet appointed Nawal Kishor Yadav and Sangita Khadka in the vacant positions of Press Council Nepal members. Nepal Army Lieutenant Colonel Rabindra KC has been promoted to the post of Colonel today.
