3 held with 2.5 kg hashish from Hetaunda

HETAUNDA: Police said they arrested three persons in possession of 2.5 kg hashish from Ratomate of Hetaunda in Makwanpur district. Acting on a tip-off, police had intercepted a car with the Indian registration number DL 8 CK 5630 heading towards Birgunj of Parsa district from Hetaunda of Makawanpur district at the Ratomate police check post on Saturday evening. They had recovered the drug hidden inside the boot of the vehicle along with a spare tyre, said police. Police identified the suspects as Indian national 22-year-old Amantullah Ansari from Pashchim Champaran of Bihar in India, 24-year-old car driver Hari Shankar Prasad Yadav and 28-year-old Sudarshan Yadav of Bahuari in Bara district. The suspects were presented before the District Court today, which remanded them to custody for further investigation, informed the District Police Office spokesperson DSP Bam Dev Gautam.
