KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested a Russian national on the charge of hacking ATM data of bank clients and stealing cash from an ATM booth. The 32-year-old Vosil Alex Sosnow was arrested while he was withdrawing money from the Nepal Investment Bank Limited's ATM booth in Darbarmarg, KMC-1 yesterday. Police seized 54 ATM cards, 134 bank notes of Rs 1,000 denomination, 27 notes of Rs 500 denomination, four notes of Rs 100, nine of Rs 50 and a mobile phone from the suspect. The value of the cash seized from him is Rs 148,350 in total. Further investigation is underway.
