My focus will be on developing the city as a tourism, education and medical hub. I will try my best to make the city unemployment free. The city will be the provincial capital. This city is getting connected with Korala border and an international airport is going to be developed. These main three infrastructure developments open avenues for hundreds of developmental projects in Pokhara. The bus park, road reforms, among other projects are my key priorities. Prosperous Pokhara is my dream project. I will make it happen at any cost.” ‘Everybody will feel the difference’ “Institutional development of the local levels as per the spirit of the new constitution is challenging. As it is the local government, we have to acquaint people about their rights and responsibilities of the metropolitan city. Former local bodies are coming as local governments. Hence, we have to make people feel the difference of the metropolitan city in the new context. CPN-UML has a clear and concrete plan, vision and resources and I am going to execute it to ensure Pokhara emerges as a prosperous zone.” ‘No compromise on development’ “I will intensify the construction of International Airport besides widening the roads in Pokhara. Construction of New Bus Park and the concept of developing ring road along the city will be prioritised. I will contribute to further heighten the international reputation of the city as tourism hub. I will effectively work to develop Pokhara as a smart and digitalised city.” ‘Cultural and Moral city’ “I will launch various concrete plans to develop Pokhara as the best destination in the world in terms of tourism and culture. I will take all the city dwellers into confidence to make them feel ownership of the city. I will take initiatives to develop Pokhara as a cultural and moral city. I will leave no stone unturned in developing Pokhara as a well-managed and prosperous city.”
