Kathmandu, June 29 Dubai Warriors advanced to the semi-finals of the Asian Club Premier League here at the Tribhuvan International Stadium on Thursday. The Warriors accumulated four points from five matches following their seven-wicket victory over Nepal Storm, who are already in the last four along with Bangladesh Tigers. Sri Lankan Lions and Afghanistan Bulls have four points but the former have one match on hand. The last league round match between Tigers and Lions will decide the final team in the semi-finals. Indian Stars, who earned just two points from five matches, are already eliminated from the tournament. On Thursday, Nepal Storm were bowled out for 123 runs in 19 overs before the Warriors raced to 128-3 in 16.4 overs. Gaurav Barabade top scored for the Storm with 30 off 31 balls, while Pawan Chandal scored 24-ball 21. Dishant Yadav (10) was the only other batsman who scored in double figures for the Storm. Vijay Yadav was the pick of the Warriors bowlers taking 4-23, while Ali Malik claimed 3-26. In reply, the Warriors reached the victory target with ease riding on Dawood Ejaz’s blistering half century. Ezaj remained unbeaten on 77 off just 37 balls. Opener A Shakoor scored 20 off 31 balls, while Sandeep Singh chipped in with 21-ball 13. Gaurav Barabade, Malwinder Singh and Dishant Yadav took one wicket each for Nepal Storm.
