KANCHANPUR: CPN Maoist Centre panel has been elected in Laljhandi Rural Municipality-6 of Kanchanpur district in the second phase of local level elections. Candidate Phul Ram Chaudhary was elected the Ward Chair with 341 votes, informed election official Hari Krishna Awasthi. CPN-MC's Chaudhary defeated Jeetram Chaudhary of CPN-UML with 22 more votes. Other elected members of the ward include Premkala Devi BK, Sharmila Devi Chaudhary, Min Prasad Chaudhary and Bachhu Lal Rana.
