Health desk set up at Rasuwagadhi border point

RASUWA: A health desk has been set up at Rasuwagadhi border point with an aim to provide first aid and minimise the communicable diseases. According to the Chief at District Health Office Jhalak Gautam, the desk was set up to provide first aid to the Chinese tourists visiting Nepal and those gone to Kerung for business. Two technicians were assigned at the desk at Miteripul of the district, added Gautam. “The health desk is chiefly responsible for providing consultation and service to the Chinese tourists and Nepali drivers who travel via Kerung, so that the transmission of the diseases including swine flu and rubella would be controlled,” said Gautam adding “ It will also provide health services to the locals.”
