Viral fever cases surge in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA: A surge of viral fever has swept across various rural municipalities in Dadeldhura district in recent days. According to locals, the viral fever has especially affected Bhageshwari Rural Municipality, Ajayameru Rural Municipality, Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality, and Nawadurga Rural Municipality among others in the district. Symptoms like bouts of fever, headache, running nose, joint pain in limbs are present in people with viral fever, informed locals. The spread of viral fever is likely due to the polluted water and contaminated foods, according to the Sub-regional Hospital, Dadeldhura. It has been learned that infants, children, women and older people are the age group that has been most affected by the disease. Nearly 15 to 20 patients have been visiting health post on a daily basis seeking treatment, informed Krishna Pal, Chief at the Samaiji Health Post in the district.
