Dolakha, December 12 The CPN-UML has gained the highest number of votes under the proportional system in Dolakha. As per data with the office of chief returning officer, UML garnered 38,047 and 37,830 votes for the Parliament and the Provincial Assembly respectively under the proportional system. While Congress bagged 24,047 and 23,003 votes for the Parliament and Provincial Assembly respectively under the proportional system, CPN-MC secured 18,702 and 19,111 votes in the two categories. The total votes cast under the proportional system for both the Parliament and Provincial Assembly stood at 80,896 and 79,947 respectively. Meanwhile, 32 candidates in the district forfeited their election deposit after they couldn’t cross the minimum vote threshold. As per the election act, candidates getting less than 10 per cent of the counted votes will forfeit their deposit.
