KATHMANDU: Nepal Bar Association on Monday issued a press release condemning Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana’s decision to boycott the extended full bench assigned to hear contempt of court case against Dr Govinda KC and managers and journalists of Kantipur daily. The NBA stated that it viewed Rana’s act as an attack on the judiciary. The NBA claimed that Rana had levelled false allegations against Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli whose date of birth was settled by the Judicial Council and he assumed his duty as chief justice only after the Constitutional Council confirmed his appointment.
