Quality education

By Ambika Pandey

Like food and drink, education is the basic need of modern life, and quality education is the need of the time. We see innumerable educational institution being established across the country. Though all such institutions claim to provide quality education, very few of them are found to be doing so in real sense. In this modern age, education is the most valuable asset, without which human life is incomplete. And it is quality education that opens the door of opportunities to students and help shape their future. It is a matter of satisfaction that most of the students these days are career oriented and are aware of the fact that there is competition in each and every sector. As a student, everyone desires a degree of an international repute. That is the reason why the tendency of seeking best colleges and academic institution is increasing. Since this is an age of globalisation, people’s movement from one part of the world to another cannot be restricted. That’s why people move from one place to another in search of a good job. A solid educational foundation is a prerequisite for a good job. It is often said that our education quality is not of international standard. If our education quality is not improved or upgraded, our people will not be able to compete at the international level.  The development of quality human resources is key to development of a country and education plays a crucial role. People often say that educational institutions and academic sectors have become highly commercialised. They say the quality of education has deteriorated because of over-commercialisation of the education sector. Those running academic institutions should not hesitate to pay heed to what people are saying and make amends accordingly. But educational institutions alone cannot be blamed. Students also need to change their attitude. Whatever and however best and renowned an institution they go to, only the students can ensure their academic excellence. Of course, a well-established institution having professional academicians focuses on exploring the ability and natural talents of students and guides them accordingly. But it is the hard work and sincerity of students that determine their success and failure in life. Of late, there is a tendency among students to acquire degrees by any means. But how good is that when someone fails to achieve the goal in life? Parents and teachers should encourage students to be honest, studious and inquisitive.
