CM Rai declares Bhojpur district literate

BHOJPUR: Chief Minister of province 1 Sher Dhan Rai has declared Bhojpur district, one of hilly districts in Eastern Nepal, as literate, on Sunday. After fulfilling all the criteria set by the Non-Formal Education Centre, Bhojpur district was officially declared literate today amid a special programme. Bhojpur district has literate rate of 96.43 per cent. Bhojpur District Education Office officer Man Bahadur Devkota said, 'District was declared literate after 15-60 aged group people was found to be 96.43 per cent literate.' On the occasion, CM Rai said, 'I will be accountable to people and work according to their wish by developing required infrastructures in the province.' He further said,'People are watching us and attaining good governance and economic prosperity are major responsibilities.' Meanwhile, CM Rai vowed to make Bhojpur along with the province as an exemplary state in Nepal.
