Salary of Province 3 chief minister fixed at Rs 60,960

HETAUDA: Province 3 has endorsed a bill related to the salary and perks of parliamentarians and ministers. A meeting of the Provincial Assembly held at the provincial secretariat in Hetauda approved the bill, which has fixed monthly salaries of provincial lawmakers and ministers. As per the bill, the chief minister will receive Rs 60,960 per month, while ministers, state ministers and assistant ministers will draw Rs 52,000, Rs 49,000 and 47,000, respectively. Parliamentarians will pocket a salary of Rs 45,000 every month, while the speaker and deputy speaker will get Rs 53,000 and Rs 50,000. Leader of the opposition will also have salary on par with the deputy speaker. Besides, the bill has also sanctioned house rent for the ministers, state ministers and assistant ministers who stay in private houses or rented apartments. Meanwhile, the meeting also endorsed another bill about the salary and perks of local representatives, besides one more bill about the procedures to run meetings at local levels.
