Biratnagar, March 1:

Both prepaid and postpaid mobile phone services, which have been disrupted for the past three days in eastern Nepal, will resume today.

According to the Regional Office of Nepal Telecom at Biratnagar, the disruption in mobile phones services were caused due to damages caused to the optical fibres.

The Regional Director of NT, Kanhaiyya Lal Gupta, said an unidentified group had damaged the optical fibres laid underground in the jungle between Nijgadh and Pathlaiyya, in Bara, yesterday night. The damaged optical fibres were then covered up with huge stones, he said.
