KATHMANDU: Sano Gaucharan Youth Club thrashed Friends’ Club 4-1 while Boys’ Sports Club and Tushal Youth Club played a 1-1 draw in the Martyrs’ Memorial ‘B’ Division League. Sunil Tamang put Sano Gaucharan ahead in the 23rd minute and Nilesh Shahi added other two in the 40th and 76th. Duryodhan Chaudhary completed the rout in the 90th. Dipak Gurung scored a consolation goal for Friends. In the other game, Ashok Pun scored for Tushal in the 12th minute while Uddhav Gautam equalised in the 26th. — HNS
Cricketers felicitated
KATHMANDU: Himalayan White House International College felicitated the Nepali cricket team that won plate championship in the ICC U-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka last month. Chief Executive Officer of the HWHIC Yuvaraj Sharma presented the team with Rs 15,000 while skipper Kanishka Chaugain was awarded with Rs 5,000 for leading the team to the historical win. Coach Roy Luke Dias and assistant coach Shankar Rana were also felicitated on the occasion. — HNS
