KANCHANPUR: Police have arrested a 40-year-old man on charges of raping a 10-year-old girl in Kanchanpur, today. A team of police personnel deployed from Area Police Office, Dodhara nabbed Aaite Sunar who was hiding in a paddy field following the crime. The reports have surfaced at a time when the authorities are yet to book the perpetrator behind the rape and murder of 13-year-old Nirmala Panta adding up to the stakeholder’s discontent. After today’s incident, the district has now witnessed four rape incidents in just over two months. Out of the four victims, two including Nirmala Panta were murdered. Women dressed in black march in protest DHANGADHI: Women in Kanchanpur wore black on Teej Festival and staged a demonstration to protest the rape and murder of 13-year-old Nirmala Panta in Kanchanpur on Wednesday. Female activists carrying placards and dressed in black staged a half-hour-demonstration in front of the District Police Office.
