Bara soap industry on fire; efforts ongoing to bring blaze under control

BIRGUNJ: Fire has continued burning a soap industry since this morning in Parwanipur Rural Municipality-3 of Bara district today. 'Makalu Soap and Industries' located on the premises of Amrit Vanaspati Ghee Industry at Chainpur caught fire at around 7:00 am today. Deputy  Superintendent of Police (DSP) Satya Narayan Thapa at Parsa District Police Office said, effort is ongoing to take the fire under control. Meanwhile, the fire engines dispatched from Birgunj Metropolis, Pokhariya Municipality and Amlekhgunj-based Nepal Oil Corporation depot have been putting effort into dousing the fire. The cause of the blaze, which has continued destroying the property of 'Dabang' and 'Makalu' soap companies within the industry, is yet to be ascertained, Superintendent of Police (SP) Meera Chaudhary at Bara DPO said. Birendra Prasad Sanghai is the owner of the industry belonging to Triveni Group. Further details of the incident are awaited.
