Lack of staffers hits service delivery

Bhojpur, September 27 The transfer of four staffers of Salpasilichho Rural Municipality to other areas has affected the rural municipality’s daily office work. As a result, service seekers have been hit. The municipality’s administrative officer, assistant accountant, non-gazetted second class officer and secretary of Ward No 3 of the rural municipality were transferred on September 14. Administrative Officer Prabin Koirala was transferred to Kavre, while assistant accountant Dal Bahadur Bhattarai was sent to Siraha with promotion. The rural municipality said service seekers had been facing problems getting their work done. Likewise, non-gazetted second class officer Santosh Luitel was transferred to Harincha, Morang; while Secretary Pemadhoj Tamang was transferred to Ramechhap. Coordinator Jagannath Prasad Sah of the health department is running the rural municipality office as an acting administrative officer. Ward Nos 1 and 2 have secretaries, but Ward No 4 is in need of one. Following lack of staffers, different projects, budget release and administrative works have been affected. The rural municipality’s Information and Communication Technology Officer Ishwor Prasad Bhatta said development budget allocation and teachers’ salary details, among others, were affected ahead of Dashain festival.
