Rotary Club provides support to Dhading prison library

DHADING: Rotary Club of Dhading and Rotary Club of Narayangadh, in a joint initiative, handed over books and a steel cabinet for the existing library at district prison in Dhading, today. The programme -- chaired by Chief of Rotary Club of Narayangadh -- Ramesh Poudel, also saw the participation of Chief of Rotary Club of Dhading Govinda Budathoki and other officers of the working committee. The books and cabinet were handed over to the assistant prison chief, Madan Shrestha. The cabinet was provided to the prison in order to organise its library, which contains books of literature, art, culture, and law, among others, informed Chief Budathoki. Currently, there are 49 detainees and 162 prison inmates, including two children, nine women, and nine foreigners at Dhading Prison, said Shrestha.
