Bhairahawa, October 11 Police made two persons public today after they were arrested for their involvement in selling fake gold at a press meet organised in Area Police Office, Butwal in Province 5. The duo had sold the metal for Rs 21 lakh saying it was of pure gold. The arrested have are: Raju Pariyar, 27, of Devdaha Municipality of Rupandehi and Abdul Pakhiya, 30, of Palhinandan Rural Municipality, Nawalparasi. Police had arrested them yesterday. DSP Dik Bahadur Malla of Area Police Office said the process for further actions had begun. The youths had sold the metal to Narahari Gharti, 23, of Tribeni Rural Municipality, Rukum, for 2,12 million in  Phulbari, Butwal, on Monday. Gharti had filed the case on the same day at Area Police Office after he came to know that he had been cheated. Police said that Rs 12 lakh cash, more than 40 tola fake gold and mobile sets were seized from the duo. Police revealed that Gharti was an investor in gold and Pakhiya was the vehicle driver while Pariyar was the goldsmith.
