Lamjung, November 5 The government has included Ghalegaun and Kaulepani of Lamjung on the list of hundred new tourist destinations. The government included these places on the list of tourist destinations with the aim of promoting new tourism sites. Tourism entrepreneurs in the district are happy after the government included Ghalegaun and Kaulepani on the list of tourist destinations. Ghalegaun is at the altitude of 2,100 metres above the sea level. Ghalegaun, which is at a distance of 175 kilometres from Kathmandu and 27 kilometres from the district headquarters, is known for its scenic beauty. Ghalegaun was introduced as a tourist destination in 2057 BS. Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Himalchuli and Manaslu peaks can be seen from Ghalegaun. Infrastructure was developed to accommodate guests in 80 houses where 32 houses have been providing regular services to the tourists.
