Two held with illegal drugs in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT: Police on Friday arrested two youths en route to Gaur from Bair Ganiya market at Nepal-India border on charges of possessing illegal drugs. According to Gaur District Police Office, a team of law enforcement officers nabbed the youths as they were hauling the contraband into Nepal in a Magic Van (Na 1 Ja 6823) during a security check. The arrestees have been identified as Suman Rai (22) and Sujan Ale (23) of Chandrapur Municipality-7. Police recovered 73 capsules of Phenergan, 73 tablets of Nurofen and 76 sets of Diazepam from their possession. A case against the two has been lodged at the district court for further legal proceedings, police informed.
