KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun, said that the government of Nepal was ready to forward bilateral agreement signed with Bangladesh regarding the development of energy sector.

Minister Pun said so during a courtesy call paid by Bangladeshi Ambassador, Mashfee Binte Shams, today.

On the occasion, the two discussed the issue of bilateral cooperation and mutual interest.

Saying a new government has now been formed in Bangladesh, Minister Pun expressed the view that Nepal was willing to collaborate with the new government in the energy sector.

Similarly, Ambassador Binte said that there would be participation of the private sector from Bangladesh in investment summit going to be organised by the government of Nepal.

She added that the government of Bangladesh was also willing to invest in the energy sector of Nepal.
