JHAPA: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Ruslan Three Star Club 3-2 in the semi-final match of the Mechi Netralaya Gold Cup in Kakarvitta on Thursday. Nawayug Shrestha scored a brace and Deep Lama netted one for the departmental side, while Ellon Maxwell struck twice for Three Star. TAC striker Nawayug Shrestha was named the man of the match and he earned Rs 11,000. TAC will face departmental rivals Nepal Police Club — who defeated CMG Club Sankata in the first semi-final match on Wednesday — in final on Saturday. The winners will be richer by one million rupees, while the runners-up will receive Rs 501,000.
