Kathmandu, May 3 Nepali Embassy in Israel which also looks after Cyprus does not know if a Nepali is among seven women and girls killed by a serial killer in Cyprus. Deputy Chief of Mission at Nepali Embassy in Israel Astha Subba told The Himalayan Times over phone from Israel that none of the authentic bodies — neither the President’s Office nor the police in Cyprus — said there was a Nepali woman among the victims. An Associated Press report filed from Cyprus yesterday had stated that there could possibly be a Nepali woman among the seven women and girls who were slain by a serial killer in the island nation three years ago. Subba said Nepali Embassy was coordinating with Embassy of Cyprus in Israel and seeking the Cyprus Embassy’s help to establish a direct line with Cyprus police so that Nepali Embassy officials could directly talk to police officials in Cyprus and enquire about the case. Subba said Cyprus government and law enforcement agencies had been investigating the case and they were tight-lipped about the case details citing ongoing investigation. READ ALSO:
