Oli urges Maoists to stop extorting

Kathmandu, July 1 :
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs KP Sharma Oli called on the Maoists to immediately stop arbitrary extortion of money in keeping.
Inaugurating the 15th anniversary of Nepal Foreign Employment Association organised here today, Oli said the act of extorting money and executing people’s court perpetuated by the Maoists should be immediately stopped, which he said has terrorized people. Nepal government would leave no stone unturned to institutionalize democracy and to make the dialogue with the Maoists a success, said Oli, adding restoration of lasting peace is the first and foremost priority of the current hour.
Noting that the government is ready to cooperate to make foreign employment business dignified and transparent, Oli said the government is also looking for cohesion and cooperation from the entrepreneurs. On the occasion, Minister of Labour and Transport Management Ramesh Lekhak said the government is coming up with a new policy to make foreign emolument business well managed. He also urged the foreign employment entrepreneurs to provide concrete recommendations on the clause and conditions to be included in the policy. At the programme presided over by Chairman of Association LP Saba Limbu, Advisor of the Association Tilak Ranabhat and second Vice-chairman Bishnu Prasad Gaire demanded to bring amendments in foreign employment act as per the time.
A large-scale exhibition was also organised at the International Conference Centre with a view to informing people about foreign employment on the occasion of the anniversary of Association.
