We love our teachers:
Guru Purnima or Teachers’ Day was celebrated on July 11. And the students of Suryodaya Secondary School organised a colourful programme for the teachers. They offered the teachers sweets. Humans Vs Nature:
An inter-house debate competition in Nepali was held on June 30 at Gyan Shikha Boarding School for the senior students of Classes IX and X on the topic ‘Nature is greater than human beings’. There were eight participants, two from each house — green, yellow, blue, and red. Blue house was declared the winner. — Santosh Budhathoki, Class X, Gyan Shikha School
Week of activities:
The Creativity Club, Awareness Campaign and Information Technology and Vocational Department of Budhanilkantha School organised a one-day clay and painting workshop on July1 at the school premises. Sixty students from 20 schools of the Valley, and 180 students from Budhanilkantha school took part in it. The drama-in-charge of the school, DP Chapagain, organised the Annual Singing Competition on June 30. Each house presented a Nepali and an English song each. Patriotic songs like Gaun Gaun Bata Utha and Saya Thari Baja Eutai Taal were sung in the competition. Meanwhile, the Science Club organised an exhibition on June 24. Thirty students from 10 different schools in the Valley took part in it.
