NEPALGUNJ: Some 2231 people from over 500 households at Chaupheri of Holiya VDC, affected by flood in the Rati River will be shifted to a safer place. The local administration office said the people of Chaupheri would be shifted to open land in Jhora Jungle at Uchwa of Bethani VDC. Assistant CDO (Banke), Narendraraj Sharma said each family would be given one kattha of land for temporary settling at Jhora. The victims had submitted a memorandum to the minister of state for Labour and Transport Management, Ramesh Lekhak.
