SAARC Teachers’ Federation (STF), a regional body of 18 national unions of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with the membership of over five million teachers is to convene its council meeting and strategic planning workshop in Kathmandu on April 18 to 20. Five delegates plus observers from each union affiliated to STF will be participating in the council meeting and planning workshop. Except for representatives from Pakistan, all the affiliates of STF from Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka have confirmed their participation, according to a press release issues by STF here on Monday.The STF council is scheduled to elect a new STF leadership for the next term and develop strategies and finalise action plan on their agendas.
