SCHOOL TIMES : Saying goodbye

SCHOOL TIMES : Saying goodbye

By Rishi Singh

Many families migrate to foreign lands from Nepal, and one such family is mine. I am sad to leave my country and I know I will miss so many things of Nepal.

First of all, I will miss my school, friends and teachers who were always there for me. Thank you all for the awesome farewell.

I will miss my grandmothers and grandfathers, who have given me so much love and affection. I will really cherish their love.

I will reallly miss my pet dog Bruno’s large soulful eyes.

I will never forget my aunties and uncles who have always been so supportive.

The eye-catching Himalayas and hills will remain in my heart forever. My mother says we should never forget our roots and our culture. So, I will always remain a Nepali at heart.

However, I am also excited to go to America. I know it’s going to be an entirely different experience.

I am thrilled at the prospect of spending my life in the world’s most powerful country.

When I come back from the US after five years I will surely do something good for my country. I know I can do it for I have the spirit and enthusiasm to do so. — Aakanchhya Tamrakar, Grade 6, Rato Bangala School, Kathmandu
