Janakpurdham, October 7 :
NC (D) general secretary Bimalendra Nidhi today said that there should be a direct dialogue between NC (D) president Sher Bahadur Deuba and NC president and PM Girija Prasad Koirala on “political agenda and organisational structure for party unification.”
Speaking at a press conference organised by the Press Union (Dhanusha) in Janakpur, Nidhi stressed the need for NC (D) president Deuba to hold a direct dialogue with Koirala to make the talks between NC president Koirala and veteran leader Krishna Prasad Bhattarai meaningful.
The general committee meeting of the party to be held in Mangsir will take a decision on party unification, said Nidhi. The ongoing government-Maoist peace talks would be successful, he said. Nidhi said the Maoists were ready to give up their arms but the problem of phasewise arms management has to be dealt with.
