Maoists today launched the United People’s Organisation and the Republic Madhesh Peoples’ Organisation campaigns in the district.

The 10-day campaigns, launched at five major places in the district, aim at organising people for a loktantrik republic and extension of the party organisation. The first-phase of the campaigns have been launched in ilakas and a people’s demonstration will be staged in the district headquarters, Jaleshwor, later, a Maoist source said. People’s gatherings were organised in Jaleshwor, Matihani, Samsi, Banauta and Khayarmara today.
