Lalitpur, December 11:

Two unidentified persons attacked Member of the revived House of Representatives (HoR) Romi Gauchan at Bhainsepati on Sunday evening, police said today.

Gauchan was returning to his house at Bhainsepati of Lalitpur district when the two persons armed with iron rods attacked his vehicle.

Though Gauchan survived the attack, his vehicle was slightly damaged.

“Earlier, I was receiving calls threatening me to put an end to my political career,” the police quoted him as saying.

Police arrested Bharat Raut and Yadav Rai on suspicion of being involved in the attack. Gauchan was elected as member of the House of Representatives in the last parliamentary election from Mustang.
