Kathmandu, November 13:

Eleven members of the House of Representatives and National Assembly will not be taken in the interim legislature as per the agreement between the seven-party alliance and the Maoists.

Narayan Sigh Pun and Praksh Koirala of the Nepali Congress, Prem Bahadur Singh and Nara Bahadur Buddhathoki of UML, Buddhi Man Tamang and Brijesh Kumar Gupta of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Badri Mandal and Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Badri Mandal) will not be taken in the interim parliament.

Similarly, royal nominees Roop Jyoti, Yankila Sherma and Dev Narayan Chaudhary will be excluded from the interim legislature “for supporting the royal coup” last year.

The seven-party alliance and the Maoists have agreed to scrap the membership of those MPs who had supported the royal takeover and played a key role in suppressing the Jana Andolan II.
