Kathmandu, December 21:

Students of 13 colleges today collected over 6,000 signatures at an awareness drive on climate change.

Volunteer students launched a signature campaign at the Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares and in Tri-Chandra, Padma Kanya and Khowpa colleges under the Youths in Climate Change (YCC) programme organised by Clean Energy Nepal and WWF-Nepal.

The students disseminated information about climate change and its possible threat to public and collected over 6,000 signatures to create pressure on the government to bring policies and take the issue of climate change and to urge the US to ratify the Kyoto Protocol.
