Yangal crush Panauti

BANEPA: Yangal Cricket Club registered a 231-run victory over Panauti Cricket Club in the Suvendra Memorial Open Cricket Tournament on Thursday. Batting first Yangal scored a massive 255 runs losing nine wickets. Sujit Adhikari scored 58 while Laxman Pradhan and Ranish Shrestha made 43 and 42 runs respectively. Panauti were all out for 24 runs. Man of the match Prakash Thapa took six wickets including a hat trick for the winning team. — HNS

Beckham to quit

MADRID: David Beckham is quitting Real Madrid for Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy in a deal worth a staggering $248 million. The former England captain will join the American giants on a five year deal starting in August. In a statement the 31-year-old midfielder confirmed the report on Thursday. — AFP
