Bardiya, January 13:

Two reinstated police posts in Bardiya were displaced after Maoists attacked them last night. They attacked the police post at Khairi Chandanpur in Rajapur across Karnali River at last night, district police office (Bardiya) said.

“Some 50 Maoists with domestic weapons like spears and sticks attacked seven policemen at the police post”, SP Shyam Bahadur Khadka said.

Meanwhile, the Maoists attacked another reinstated police post at Baniyabhara in Bardiya last night. Policemen at Baniyabhara police posts ran away after some four hundred Maoists, saying that they don’ need police, threatened to set fire to the police post and threw away the goods there.
