Kathmandu, February 18:
Former Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Surya Nath Upadhyaya, has accused courts of giving a clean chit to corrupt.
“There is a network of corrupt people. The CIAA cannot intervene to control corruption because the corrupt have been getting clean chits from the courts,” he said. Upadhyaya said that the anti-graft body should not be made a tool to take political revenge. He was delivering a lecture on his experience and techniques to curb corruption at a programme organised by the Transparency International Nepal chapter.
