Kathmandu:
The traffic on the main streets of the Capital may have been sparse, but the premises of Nepal Scouts at Lainchour was teeming with people on March 3. The venue saw the Lazimpat Holi Festival, organised to celebrate a ‘disciplined’ and enjoyable Holi.
From the initial hours itself, the crowd were seen enjoying the party. Gamboling and splashing water at those welcoming the splashes, it looked like the crowd was having a great time dancing to the rocking tunes coming from the consoles of DJ B Man.
Those desiring to taste the culinary delights had gathered at the stalls put up by the nearby hotels and restaurants. And for all ice-cream fads, a stall put up by the Kathmandu Dairy was an oasis amidst all that commotion.
The ones who wanted to try out their luck and sporting skills were seen thronging to smash the matka. But it was the dancing that attracted the crowd most.
The event was organised by Excel Business link, and promoted by Lazimpat hotels and restaurants, with the sponsors being Asian Paints and Pepsi in association with CT Top.
